Day 11: 10 RULES TO LIVE BY.

Sourced from Flowermeaning.com

Hi guys!

After years of battling inhibitions, I recently decided to write rule book. 10 ways to live life a lot happier than I once was. Happiness, in my option is contagious; if you feel good so do the others around you. Working on your own hopeful-ness only benefits those around you, making life that much sweeter.

1. YOUR NOT COMPETING.

I have spoken to a lot of people who seem to compare themselves to friends and family. I know I compare myself constantly, and so do many others. Yet lifes not a race, we don't get a gold medal for finishing first. So stop and smell the roses, when winter comes they will soon go.

Comparing yourself to any one or any idea, only hurts you in the long run. Damaging your self image and causing unnecessary pressure on yourself.

2. BELIEVE IN FATE

Trust in the fact, that if things are meant to happen fate will make them do so. We may not have a direct path in life but some how things have a way of happening how it should.

3. THERE ARE ENDLESS POSSIBLITIES

As cliché as it sounds, the possibilities are endless. You can always 'better' yourself, by taking courses, looking for new jobs or just finding new challenges. Even everything seems stale, it is up to you to change things up. Now enjoy the challenge.

4. SMILE MORE.

Smiling is contagious! A smile cost nothing and can brighten some ones day. Bonus!

5. EXCERSIZE IS NOT THE ENEMY

I hate exercising, although it has so many benefits. I suffer with bloating and exercise really helps. Not only that but there is an odd sense of satisfaction every time I survive a yoga class.

I do struggle with exercising in a gym or in a glass, I hate the thought of people looking at me whilst I am the most vulnerable. Although, if you fully apply yourself, you can slightly forget the other people around you.

6. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

Sometimes believing in your abilities seems to be difficult (to say the least), yet it isn't impossible. I think as humans we are wired to pick at every flaw and insecurity;  we have an unhealthy obsession to be perfect. Believing in yourself, is an extremely hard concept, but it is an extremely powerful one.

Challenging yourself, to complete menial tasks is a way to boost your self belief.  Another way is to simply not give up. Showing yourself you can complete something with sheer determination

7. STOP LISTENING TO  IRRELIVANT PEOPLE

People will walk in and out of your life, the ones that stay not out of benefit but out of love will always support you. The ones that don't, however, will constantly doubt your abilities. When someone continues to doubt your abilities it can lead to self doubt. And self doubt is toxic; people who create this feeling are irrelevant, time to cut them out.

You're better than that.

8.  YOU CAN'T  MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY

Stop trying to make everyone happy, is not going to happen (like Fetch). There will always be someone who try and dismiss your abilities. As soon as you stop trying to change there opinions, you will instantly be happier.

9.HAVING ONE GOOD FRIEND IS BETTER THAN A THOUSANDS FAKE FRIENDS

Not knowing your friends have two faces is a constant battle. Follow your gut with friendships, sometimes you might need to take a step back and asses if the people in question actually benefit your life. If not then its time to leave that situation.

Really trusting your friends can be a life saver. They can be your counsellor, friends and family.

10. YOU ARE ENOUGH.

The statement is enough. Just like you.

Life is hard and complicated, making your own rules and limits in life is a great way to limit the damage superficial nonsense that comes with it.

Love,

Em
